You know, I hear a lot of ‘economic forecasters’ and other professional lipservice idiots on television saying that the whole idea that we’re in a recession is a bunch of baloney, hooey and hype. Alot of people I talk to tend to agree with them — in fact, from where I get to sit, I’m inclined to agree as well… It really does seem that all this recession talk is a bunch of bull-sh*t. I mean - you lose your job, go get another one right? You lose your house, get into a rental, right? Gas Prices to high? Buy a Hybrid… {schrreeeeeechhhhh…..} Hang on a second here! I’ve got a 3 year lease on my SUV people. And finding another job isn’t really the answer. And a whole lot of emotional luggage gets handed to you if you have to go through a foreclosure, man. Listen, I don’t want ANY OF THAT to happen to you. But here’s what I think…I think alot of people on my list think, "Oh, I’m on all those great internet marketers lists … I’ll be fine." WRONG! Just being on our lists isn’t enough.You have to take action on the information when you get it. Period. Forget about Sal for a second here - that’s just distraction-marketing (you’ll see more of him later). But I’ve personally gotten together with two other POWERHOUSE MARKETERS. I stumbled across this while putzing around on YouTube a few minutes ago…
It’s a hot site and marketing campaign for Ecko Manufacturing that pretends that girls like the young ladies above are working at their manufacturing plant … making your jeans … puttin the screen prints on the shirts … packing boxes into the trucks — and they have so much darn FUN doing it.
I think they do a great job of hitting their demographic (young men & big boys) and might even pull in some old farts like me. Either way - go to the site - http://eckomfg.com/ - and see what lengths they go to. Each girl has a myspace page, youtube profile, and facebook, too - -you can vote on which girl you think is the hottest - etc etc. But to me, the coolest part is how they pull you in to what would normally be a boring ‘manufacturing process’ and make it fun and sexy.
Good job, Ecko - I predict this one will go viral (and if it doesn’t - hey, so what - it’s nice to look at!)
